Welcome to Tim’s Technonet

Hey there ! I’m Timothy, PhD student in semiconductor physics and amateur radio operator with the call sign F4MVR. This website will allow me to share projects, interesting circuits I find here and there, and random bits of knowledge.

My three main area of focus are radio electronics, semiconductor physics and retro-computing mixed with everything relating to space or history. So I’ll share articles about the three fields with some special article on space related or history related knowledge when I find something interesting.

As a beginner in electronics, I’ll try to give in depth explanation on the circuits I present. My goal is for you, the reader, to finish an article and understanding every building blocs. If this is a success, you will be able to implement those circuits and modify them to your specific needs, and it helps a lot in debugging !

If you understand it : it’s obsolete

So read on and join me for this big adventure !

    SMD Pixie : 9V Version 0

This idea came from a discussion on reddit post talking about K6ARK’s micro pixie operation. As I never tried doing anything in SMD I though it would be a great project to learn the basics. The schematic is really simple, I just took an already working schematic from chinese pixies and reimplemented it in Kicad…
